Another Suicide Case of Bollywood Actor – Asif Basra!
A known Bollywood actor Asif Basra 53 years old, found dead as he hanged himself in Dharamshala on 12 November 2020 at around 12 to 12:30 pm, which is very shocking for all the other co-actors who worked with Asif Basra. As all are saying he was a joyful, positive, and jovial person and it’s hard to believe on his demise.
The police is investigating the case under section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code at the McLeodganj police station.
It is being reported that the actor had a property on lease for the past five-six years in McLeodganj, Upper Dharamshala, and used to visit the place regularly.
It is still a Mistry on his suicide as no note was found near his body. And some residents said they last saw Asif Basra earlier in the day when he took his dog out for a walk.
Acting Career
He was born in Maharashtra in 1967, Asif Basra had dabbled with acting since his school days. And in 1989 he moved to Mumbai and continued his acting career in college productions. One of his major theatre appearances was as Horatio in 1991 in Salim Ghouse’s production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. He acted in several talks about play including Feroz Khan’s Mahatma vs Gandhi, Manav Kaul’s Mumtaz Bhai Patangwale, and Vikram Kapadia’s Tuglak.

In his over two-decade-long career, Basra played supporting parts in many critically-acclaimed features like “Black Friday”, “Parzania” and Outsourced”, “Jab We Met”, “Once Upon a Time in Mumbai”, “Kai Po Che”, “Krrish 3”, “Ek Villain”, “Kaalakaandi” and “Hichki”. This year, he appeared in significant roles in the web shows “Paatal Lok” and “Hostages Season 2”.
He was a versatile actor and can fill the gap of any character as the director required. The above-mentioned films were his famous supporting role films and can see his acting skills.
Several celebrities mourned Basra’s death on social media.
